Position Description

Carle Health is seeking a highly motivated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our OB/GYN team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

Births at Level III hospital that offers anesthesia 24/7
Nurse-Midwives participate in approximately 500 - 550 births per year
Call (24 hours) 1:8 with an average of 3 office days per week. Rotating weekends and holidays
First Assist at Cesareans when requested
Nurse-Midwives are preceptors for medical, nursing and midwifery students
Centering Pregnancy provider or willingness to be trained required
Collaborate closely with the Nurse Family Partnership program
Clinical outreach clinics in surrounding areas with travel required
Provide an expanded range of pain management options, including nitrous oxide

Education Requirements:
Master's degree required with concentration in midwifery

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure.
