Every year, ISAPN hosts Pharm Updates for APRNs seeking pharmacology based professional development courses.  We are excited to be back in person for our Pharmacology Update at Oak Point University in June.

8:45 - 9:45 a.m. - What’s in a Name? Pharmacologic Considerations for Primary, Secondary, Resistant, Urgent, and Emergent Hypertension

9:45 - 10:45 a.m. - Opioid Use Disorder - Updates - Treatment and Integrating Harm Reduction into Treatment

10:45 - 11:00 a.m. - Break

11:00 - 12:00 p.m. - Anticoagulation:  Review Medications and Reversal Agents - updated Treatment Guidelines for Venous Thromboembolism (VTE)            

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. - Medication and Anticoagulation Update For COVID                     

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. - Lunch Break                                               

2:00 – 3:00 p.m.  - Medications for Weight Management 
3:00 – 4:00 p.m. - Antimicrobial Stewardship: You too can be an antibiotic expert

Event Safety Protocol – ISAPN will be adhering to the CDC’s recommendations and local mandates at the time of the event. As the situation evolves, so will our approach to keeping you safe. At this time, COVID-19 vaccination OR a 72-hour negative COVID-19 test will be required to attend the event. Masks are optional but encouraged for all attendees during the event unless eating or drinking. We will be promoting social distancing during the program, encouraging everyone to complete a wellness self-monitoring before the event, and asking participants not to attend if they are feeling ill.
