Program Overview:
Helping patients manage Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)
- Identify patients with suspected OUD and initiate SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral for Treatment)
- Utilize the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for OUD
- Describe the three FDA-approved medications for treating OUD.
- Explain the pharmacologic differences between the three medications used for OUD and the differing contexts in which they are administered/prescribed.
- Plan to initiate buprenorphine treatment
- Implement overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies
Upon completion of the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to complete the exam at www.cmeoutfitters.com/ah005p/ for 1.5 hours. You must be in attendance for the full meeting.
