Additional Information

Heart failure is a devastating and life-altering diagnosis. However, with the implementation of the latest ACC/AHA/HFS heart failure guidelines, significant improvements in heart function (ejection fraction) are now possible. APRNs play a critical role in the management of heart failure by implementing the four pillars of heart failure pharmacology across different classifications and stages of the condition. This session will cover the indications, actions, dosages, and side effects of the four key medication classes. Tips for titrating medications to reach target doses will also be provided. Case studies will be used to reinforce learning and enhance understanding.
