What is your area of practice/specialty?

Family Nurse Practitioner

 

If you could vacation anywhere, where would you go and why? 

Wisconsin Dells. Mine and my husband's happy place. We loved going there with our children. 

 

How many years have you worked in healthcare? 

24 years

 

What inspired you to become a member of ISAPN?

ISAPN helps to guide me with the new rules and regulations. It also gives me a chance to be a part of something special. 

 

What is your favorite book?

To Kill a Mockingbird

 

If you couldn't be an APRN, what other job would you try? 

I would be a veterinarian 

 

How has being a member of ISAPN benefited you?

My membership has connected me with student APNs seeking to join our profession. My membership has allowed me to pass on my knowledge and experience to new APNs so we have a strong field in nursing.

 

If you could go back in time and give yourself advice as a student. What would it be? 

One day at a time. Everything you experience along the way will only make you stronger and pave the way to a long career helping those who cannot help themselves.
