How long have you been a member of ISAPN?

14 years

 

What is your area of practice/specialty?

Family, I'm doing in home evaluations 

 

If you could vacation anywhere, where would you go and why? 

I love the beach. I've been to the Virgin Islands and it is beautiful. I can sit on the beach and read and be very content.

 

How many years have you worked in healthcare? 

30 years

 

What inspired you to become a member of ISAPN?

It was a requirement during school to join an organization. I joined ISAPN and AANP both and have been a member ever since. I want to stay updated on things that affect my practice 

 

What is your favorite book?

I read a lot and have many favorite authors. I also like a lot of different genres. I think the Harry Potter books are one of my favorites. My oldest had read them and told me about it. 

 

If you couldn't be an APRN, what other job would you try? 

I probably would have gone into accounting, CPA.

 

How has being a member of ISAPN benefited you?

I've met APRNs from all over the state working in different types of practice. I love the camaraderie and learning from others in conferences and meetings. 

 

If you could go back in time and give yourself advice as a student. What would it be? 

Make more connections with others.
