Posted about 2 months ago by Emily Mc Mahon

ISAPN is proud to introduce and welcome new Board Members! Read all about our new President-Elect, Christopher Gill.

Chris Gill, DNP, PhD, MBA, CRNA, CNP, FACHE, is the Chief Credentialing Officer for the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). He also serves as staff CRNA at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and a Nurse Practitioner at Henry Meds and Pinch Med.

All About Christopher

Chris began his nursing career as a Trauma ICU nurse at Vanderbilt. He then worked as a Rapid Response nurse at the Detroit Medical Center while completing anesthesia school at Wayne State. He has also held staff CRNA positions at Northwestern, Mass General Hospital, and Brigham and Women’s.

After some time working as a CRNA, Chris made a transition to leadership roles. Going from Chief CRNA at NAPA Southcoast Health System to his current position as the Chief Credentialing Officer of NBCRNA where he oversees credentialing processes that ensure nurse anesthetists meet the highest standards.

Transitioning into clinical leadership roles has given him a unique perspective on both the operational and clinical sides of healthcare. This blend of experience positions Chris well to lead ISAPN into a future that supports both clinical excellence and healthcare policy advancement.

“This journey has given me a diverse perspective and a deep understanding of both clinical practice and healthcare leadership.”

Why Chris Joined the ISAPN Board

Chris made the decision to run for the ISAPN Board of Directors to advocate for APRNs across Illinois and take an active role in ensuring the voices of APRNs are heard.

“I decided to run for the ISAPN Board of Directors to advocate for APRNs in Illinois and ensure our voices are heard in shaping policies that impact our practice. With my experience in healthcare leadership, I’m passionate about driving change, supporting licensure needs, and fostering a strong, united community of APRNs for the future.”

A Member of ISAPN Since 2021

Chris has been a member of ISAPN for three years now, and has already seen the benefits of joining. Over the past few years, he has been an active member, engaging with ISAPN’s initiatives to promote and protect the APRN role in Illinois.

“I’ve been a proud member of ISAPN since 2021, when I moved back to Illinois. It’s been a great experience to be part of an organization so dedicated to advancing APRN practice and supporting our profession.”
