Nominations for the 2025 Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing Board of Directors open on May 1 and close on July 1. This year we seek passionate leaders for the following seats: President-Elect, Treasurer, Program Director, Certified Nurse Midwife Representative, Certified Nurse Practitioner Representative, and Regional Directors for the Northwest, Northeast/South, and West Central regions. The board meets virtually four times a year—in February, April, August, and November—with additional committee work as needed to advance our strategic goals.
Serving on the board is a direct path to leadership growth. You will help shape statewide policy that protects full APRN practice and improves patient access. You will expand your professional influence by working alongside respected APRN leaders, legislators, and healthcare partners. Most importantly, you will sharpen your governance and strategic-planning skills—experience that elevates your career and strengthens the voice of advanced practice nursing in Illinois.

Board Commitment
- Four virtual meetings each year — February, April, August, November.

A candidate statement is required with your consent to run. Draft it in advance, then copy and paste it into the consent form to avoid any data loss—this exact statement will appear on the ballot and in all slate communications.
