The Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing is proud to announce that Governor J.B. Pritzker has officially proclaimed November 9–15, 2025, as Nurse Practitioner Week in Illinois.
This statewide recognition honors the vital role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who advance healthcare access, improve health outcomes, and serve as trusted providers for individuals and families across our communities.
For decades, NPs have delivered high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting health equity and leading innovative practice models. Today, more than 431,000 licensed nurse practitioners across the United States, including thousands right here in Illinois, continue to make an incredible impact on the well-being of our state.
We celebrate this honor as a reflection of the dedication, expertise, and leadership of Illinois APRNs who continue to strengthen healthcare for all.
