Hailey Guion
Hailey Guion

Firmwide managing associate attorney at Jackson LLP

As a methodical thinker who strives to find pragmatic and creative solutions, Haley helps clients navigate challenges without compromising their goals or mission. Haley approaches client needs with sincerity, precision, and a steady eye on the ever-changing legal landscape for modern healthcare delivery. Haley focuses her practice on those areas of healthcare most susceptible to change, and she builds upon her past experience as an attorney in the Office of the Illinois Senate President when guiding clients through complex legal and regulatory transitions. In that role, she counseled state senators on insurance legislation and administrative rulemaking. She is uniquely skilled in explaining legislative developments, including the interplay between different layers of federal, state, and local legislation that impact healthcare practitioners’ rights and responsibilities. Haley studied English at the University of Wisconsin in Madison before earning her Certificate in Health Care Law from the DePaul University College of Law. She was an editor of the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law and a member of DePaul’s Health Law Transactional Moot Court Team. She began her career at a nonprofit association, researching policy proposals that impact medical education, before transitioning to public service and ultimately joining Jackson LLP. Haley’s work has been published in the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law and the Illinois Bar Journal. Her articles examine consumer protection laws and genetic privacy. In her role as the Firmwide Managing Associate Attorney, Haley is charged with guiding the professional development of the firm’s junior attorneys and law clerks. In collaboration with the partners, she is responsible for managing their individual workloads, providing professional mentorship, and participating in the attorney and law clerk hiring process.
